Vasilias Nikoklis Inn

Just outside Nikokleia village is a small hotel belonging to Constantinou family, the Vasilias Nikoklis Inn, a restored stone built house with traditional fittings, yard, courtyard, swimming pool, a tavern and bar.

Vasilias Nikoklis Inn has a long history going back to the old times when it functioned as an inn for Pafos-bound travellers and merchants.

Today, following meticulous restoration, it constitutes a first class choice for those who would love a different kind of holiday. Constantinou family will welcome you as a friend, treat you to a glass of village wine and zivania, and brief you on your expeditions in the valley.

Remember, food at the tavern is a must! For nature lovers and especially for bird watchers, Vasilias Nikoklis Inn constitutes an ideal place due to its location, upon the valley of river Diarizos. At the valley of the river, as well as at the adjacent dam of Asprokremnos, one can admire a large number of birds.

The area is an unspoiled paradise for bird watchers at any time, but particularly during the migration season. Francolin, kestrel, vulture, hoopoe, warbler and kingfisher are often to be seen in the valley.

Every spring the Inn welcomes its very special guests, the swallows, that spend their holidays in nests found in the bar and dining room. Walkers can enjoy long walks through the valley along the river bed. There is easy access to Kouklia village, the former capital of Cyprus known as Palepaphos, and it is worth visiting the museum as well as Aphrodite's Sanctuary.

Not far from the hotel you will also find three 18 hole golf courses. Tsada to the North of Paphos was the first course created in the area. Towards Limassol, are Secret Valley and the most recently created, Aphrodite Hills. All courses welcome visitors with the necessary Handicap Certificate. The hotel will make reservations for you upon request.
