The Church of Archangel Michael in Pedoula included from 1985, along with nine other painted Byzantine churches of Troodos, in the list of World Heritage of UNESCO.
The splint , which surrounds the south and west side of the church, serving as a place only for women because of the small size of the church. Remarkable is the wooden shrine of the church, one of the finest examples of its kind surviving in Cyprus.
On the architrave of the temple that exists painted coat of arms of the medieval Kingdom of Cyprus and the double-headed eagle , symbol of Palaeologus , the last kings of Byzantium . Just a few meters west of the church of the Archangel Michael, a specially designed room of the old primary school , kept icons and other religious works mainly art . These come from the Byzantine churches of the region Pedoula dating from the 13th to the 20th century .
