The Diarizos valley is the least known wine producing region in Cyprus. Its altitude, at a lower level compared to the other wine growing areas, and the dominance of the local Mavro grape variety, have kept it for years away from the wine scene.

However, with the creation of many small wine making units and the introduction of modern vine cultivation, the Diarizos region has transformed into a competitive wine producing area of great promise.
