Near the square of the village with the little coffee shops and the church is Aristos House, a traditional lodging with a beautiful mountain view.

Mr. Aristos will welcome you and he will give you all the information you might need for the village of Kalavasos and generally the area of Larnaca District.

These days, the village mostly lives off agriculture and agrotourism. Many old houses have been renovated and are being rented out to tourists who wish to experience the traditional Cyprus village life. It is about 5 km away from the sea by car.; A small Neolithic village is located near the modern village, called “Kalavasos Tenta”.; There is also a copper mine just outside the village which has long since ceased operation.; Neolithic aged village Chirokitia is very near the village of Kalavasos.; Also of interest are the many events that are celebrated, and which are a reminder of the strong tradition which is kept alive from generation to generation.
